You need to add money to your account to start using your new Stretch account and debit card. You can do that in the following ways:

  • Ask your employer to direct deposit your wages into your new Stretch account. You only need to give them your Stretch account and routing numbers, which you can find in your dashboard as well as under the "Account" section by logging in to Stretch.

If your employer currently issues you physical checks or loads your wages onto a payroll card, or deposits them into another account, ask them to switch and provide them with your Stretch account and routing numbers for direct deposit. If they ask for your bank's name, it's Sutton Bank.

*You do not need to wait until you've received your Stretch card in the mail to set up direct deposit with your employer.

  • Ask your benefits provider, such as Social Security or similar, to directly deposit your payments into your Stretch account. You can do that by giving them your Stretch account and routing numbers.

*You do not need to wait until you've received your Stretch card to request a direct deposit from a benefits provider.

  • If you have an account with another financial institution, you can transfer funds to your new Stretch account. Log in to their online banking services and add Stretch as an external account. This is typically under their Transfers section. Note that you may not be able to do that from their mobile app but through their online banking accessed from your device's internet browser. You need your Stretch account and routing numbers which are in your Stretch dashboard. Your other provider may first conduct a verification through one or two small deposits into your Stretch account. Once you complete their process, you can transfer funds from your other bank account to your Stretch account via ACH.

*You do not need to wait until you've received your Stretch card in the mail to receive an ACH transfer from another account.

  • Any contact, family, friends, or another organization can transfer funds from their bank account to your account through ACH using your Stretch account and routing numbers.

*You do not need to wait until you've received your Stretch card in the mail in order to receive an ACH transfer from another contact.

  • Someone else can send you funds using Zelle. All they need is your email address and mobile phone number.

    • You can download the app on your phone's Google Play or Apple App Store if you don't have Zelle.

    • Once you've downloaded Zelle, search for Stretch. It won't show in the results.

    • Instead, click "When you don't see your bank" to connect your Stretch debit card to Zelle.

    • Provide the address linked to your Stretch account.

    • If you have used Zelle with another financial institution using the same mobile number, you first need to deregister Zelle directly through that provider. You can only re-register via the Zelle app using your same mobile number and connect your Stretch card. Your mobile number can only be connected to one Zelle ecosystem provider.

    • If you have been using Zelle directly through the Zelle app, log in to switch from your existing linked card to your Stretch card. You can do that directly in the Zelle app.

  • If you have a Venmo, Paypal, or Cash App account with available funds, you can log in to their respective apps, link your Stretch debit card, and easily disburse funds to Stretch.

In Cash App specifically, you can "Cash Out" to your Stretch card by using only their instant transfer service.

  • While we don't offer mobile check deposit services, customers can download Ingo Money App via their phone's app store. They can sign up and connect it to their Stretch card to deposit checks into their Stretch account through Ingo Money.
